About Lesson Console

Lesson Console is an all-in-one studio management platform for independent music teachers. It replaces spreadsheets, messaging apps, calendars, and payment tools with a single, purpose-built system.

Who Made This?

I'm Andrew. I am a web guy, but I've often taught music lessons on the side.

I'm also the parent of kids who have taken lessons, and I've seen first-hand how a lot of them are using a bunch of different systems to do all the admin work and scheduling.

Personally, I've only ever taught 1 or 2 people at any given time, but I've seen teachers with a larger amount seem to struggle with this stuff. Even one of the more organized teachers I dealy with would only send invoices every 3 or 4 months, and I would always think dang, that just seems like such a huge pain.

I wanted to do a few more lessons recently, and I started looking around for a website like the one you're looking at, and I just couldn't find anything that suited me. Especially as someone who has made web apps professionally for a decent amount of time, I didn't have a lot of confidence in them either, they seemed a bit outdated and brittle.

I made this site, and I am pretty darn proud of it to be honest. I think it's quite full-featured, and, especially, easy to use. I am pretty hardcore about user experience, and I have gone all-out on this site to remove any pain and frustration.

What It Does

Lesson Console centralizes the core operations of a music studio: lesson scheduling, student and parent messaging, invoicing, payment tracking, file sharing, and lesson notes.

Optional payment collection is built in, allowing you to run your entire studio from one place.

Fast, Simple Payments

One of the big features here is the billing system. It makes getting paid by students (or their parents) simple, and stress-free.

Creating invoices on here is very fast, and takes advantage of the lesson calendar to pre-fill most of the invoice. Once you've made the invoice, you can send it to your student (or their parent) with one click.

Once they have it, they can pay it online super quickly - They don't need to log in, register, etc, just click the "PAY" button and then they can use Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, whatever.

Our payment partner is Stripe, the best, and maybe the biggest, payment processor online. Payments your students make will go directly from Stripe to your bank account, and you can set it to receive them in your account 1 day after the student pays.

(I should add that you don't actually have to enable this system - if you want to receive all of your payments in person, or some other way, all the other features will work just fine.)
